The Business with Beauty

There is a huge make up and cosmetics industry out there that has only one goal: to get your money. They don’t really care about how you look, they never see most of the people who buy their products, they don’t care about the pain, fear and suffering of the animals they test the products on. All they care about is: How to get your money. They make you believe that you need all these products to look and feel beautiful, but guess what, real beauty comes from the inside! If you have a beautiful soul, a beautiful attitude, any make up in the world is redundant and just a waste of your money. Beauty comes from the quality of your thoughts, your attitude towards life and towards people as well as from what you put inside your body. Nature provides all the ingredients you need for a pretty skin. Eat raw fruits and vegetables to get the nutrients your body needs, eat just a little bit of cheese and meat every now and then and avoid processed food products entirely or as much as you can. Exercise regularly to support a healthy blood flow which supports a health skin and mind. And voilà, you are beautiful. If you still want to buy products for your physical appearance, please buy those that have NOT been tested on animals! Here is a list:

If you are not convinced why you should not buy products tested on animals, please watch the video below. How can someone feel beautiful knowing they are causing tremendous pain and suffering to animals? Haven’t we already tested enough on animals to have plenty of products we can use without further causing harm? Why does the “beauty” industry constantly come out with “new and improved” products? Were the “old” products not good enough? Oh that’s right, they want you to come back and spend more money by keeping you hooked on even better products, for example they get you with slogans like “now even more age defying”. There is no such thing as defying ageing. And why do people, especially women, do not want to show signs of ageing? Men don’t seem to care much about wrinkles on their faces. The so called “beauty ideal” you see in advertising is fake and wrong. Photos are almost always photo shopped. Age with grace! Spend your money on things that actually enrich your life such as travelling, education, helping people in need, supporting animal rescue instead of animal misery! Also, by reducing the amount of products you put on your body you are supporting a healthier you. I have been using the same inexpensive lotion for my face for decades and I use very little of it just once a day to keep my skin moisturized from the outside. Additionally, I drink a lot of water to keep my skin moisturized from the inside. As a result, I have barely any visible wrinkles. No need for fancy sounding “age defying” cremes and lotions! As far as make up, the only thing I use is mascara and again, I have been using the same kind for years. I don’t use foundation crèmes, powdery make ups, layers of layers of product that would just clog my pores and would make me need even more product just to get rid of the other products in order to free my skin so it can “breathe” again. Every single product you put on your body will be partially absorbed by your skin and enter your blood stream. All those chemicals and artificially altered substances increase your risk of allergic reactions, accelerated ageing and possibly cancer… but hey, no problem, there is a new and even better than better product on the market to cure those side effects! LOL Do you see the problem? Do you see the vicious cycle? Open your eyes, be aware of what’s going on here! Use less products, simplify your life, improve your health, spend your money more wisely, instead of spending so much time buying and applying these “beauty” products use that time for better things like actual self-care… And finally, very important: don’t compare yourself to some beauty standards you see in advertising! You are unique and beautiful the way you are! Remember, real beauty comes from the inside!
