 Mantras to a better YOU

In order to live a well-rounded life, you need to: Think Good, Be Good and Do Good.

You can achieve that by first training your mind and your body will follow. When you wake up in the morning set good intentions for the day. For example, while you are still laying in bed or while you are brushing your teeth or drinking your coffee… Read the following intentions every morning out loud or say them quietly in your head and add whatever you feel you need to do and focus on to improve yourself. Make them your daily “mantras”:

I am open to whatever this day will bring.

I am aware of my mind, my body and my surroundings today.

I will make good choices today.

I will be kind to everyone I interact with today no matter how they act toward me.

I will be looking to find opportunities today that will enrich my life.

I am keeping a positive attitude to everything.

I am filled with love and contentment.

I will be smiling today.

I am healthy.

I am happy.

I am at peace.

 

Remember your mantras throughout the day. Read or say them whenever you feel off balance or even when you have some quiet time. The more often you do that, the more these positive intentions will manifest in your mind. They will help you reduce negativity such as stress, anxiety or anger and will keep the chemicals in your body balanced and promote mental and physical health.

At night, before you go to bed or when you are lying in bed, reflect on your day. Did I follow my positive intentions, my mantras, today? How do I feel about myself? Have I accomplished something today? What can I do better tomorrow? Did I eat and drink healthy today to nourish my body? Finish on a positive note. Remember you are a work in progress. Let go of negative feelings and release them to the universe. Don’t dwell on anything but think productively, focus on the outcome and not on the problem and find a way to make it better.

Remember, what you think, you will become. If you want to be happy and content, you must think happy and content. If you currently feel like you are not at your best, shift your energy away from your current state and shift it towards how you “want to feel”. Picture yourself happy and loved and content and eventually you “will” feel happy, loved and content. Mind over matter!
